Red Cross


The Red Cross society was set up as an autonomous organization, It was registered on 1863 by henry duenot. with the main objective of promotion of communal harmony and national integration and providing assistance for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of child victims of communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence, with special reference to their care, educational and training to enable them to merge in the mainstream of the nation and become a responsible and respectable citizen of the country. To achieve these goals the foundation undertakes various kinds of activities such as blood donation, eye checkup, free camp for different diseases etc.. the foundation broadly undertakes, promotes and supports the following activities/programs/projects: 1) Providing assistance to the children of families affected by communal, caste, ethnic or terrorists violence which fracture social harmony, as may be decided by the Governing council from time to time, in particular for their care, education and training. 2) Conferring awards to individual as well as organization for outstanding contribution to the caste of communal, caste, ethnic harmony and national integration. Seeking operation of the central Government/ State Government / Union Territories / public sector undertakings/ industrial and commercial organizations /voluntary and other organizations for promotion of the objects of the Foundation. 3) The foundation raised donation through the central and state governments , educational institutions, public sector undertaking, industrial and commercial establishments, individual etc by organizing fund raising campaign and making appeals. Amount of donations given to the foundations are exempted from income tax under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
